Cookies

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to its storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies.
Google reCAPTCHA
To protect our contact form from misuse by automated software (bots/spam), we use the "reCAPTCHA" service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In the process, your IP address and, if applicable, other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service are transmitted to Google. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting our contact form from misuse (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). Further information can be found in the Google privacy policy.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure: after you sign up, we send an email to the address you provided, asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your subscription, your data will be automatically deleted or not activated for sending.
In addition, when you sign up, we store the IP address you entered from as well as the date and time of the subscription and the confirmation. This serves as proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address to subscribe and the recipient subsequently objects to receiving the newsletter.
The processing of the data mentioned is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). The newsletter is sent via a self-operated system on our own server. No data is passed on to external newsletter service providers (e.g. Mailchimp). You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time; you will find an unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter email. After you unsubscribe, your data will no longer be used for sending the newsletter.
Newsletter performance measurement (open and click tracking)
Our newsletters contain a so-called tracking pixel (a small, invisible image file) as well as personalised links. When a newsletter email is opened or a link contained in it is clicked, this is registered on our own server. The data recorded includes the time of the opening or click, the link clicked and a pseudonymous recipient identifier; click links then redirect to the actual destination address. We use this data exclusively to evaluate the reach of our newsletter (e.g. open and click rates) and to improve our content. The processing takes place entirely on our own server; no data is passed on to third parties.
The legal basis is your consent to receive the newsletter (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). If you do not wish performance measurement to take place, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link at the end of every email; this also ends the performance measurement. Many email programs also offer the option of blocking the loading of images; in this case, no opening is registered.
Newsletter notice window (popup)
On this website, a notice window drawing attention to our newsletter may appear after a short time on the site. So that this window is only displayed once per browser session, we store a technical note in the so-called session storage of your browser. This note does not contain any personal data, is not transmitted to us or to third parties and is automatically deleted when you close your browser (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR; legitimate interest in a user-friendly, non-repeated display). Personal data is only processed if you actively subscribe to the newsletter via the form in the notice window; the above information on the newsletter then applies.
4. Social media
Links to social networks
On this website you will find links to our profiles on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, XING). These are exclusively simple text links, not embedded plugins, like buttons or social share widgets. When you visit this website, no connection is therefore established to the servers of these providers and no data is transmitted to them. Only when you actively click on one of the links do you leave our site and reach the respective social network; its own privacy policy then applies there.
5. Analytics tools and advertising
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us to manage website tags (e.g. for analytics or marketing purposes) via one interface. The Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies and does not carry out any independent analyses; it merely ensures that the tags mentioned below are loaded. These are only loaded once you have given your consent in the cookie banner.
Google Analytics
Via Google Tag Manager, we integrate Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. The information generated in this way is transferred to a Google server and stored there.
